Here's a bit about us.

A Bretheren church first established here in Streatham back in 1907. It was replanted as an Ichthus church in the year 2000. Since 2007 Southcroft has been led by Phil and Hayley Tate. Phil grew up in the Noirth East and came to London to follow God's call in Evangelism first as a youth worker and later trained with Ichthus in 2004. Hayley grew up in London and trained with Ichthus in 2005. Hayley is a worship leader, youth leader and musician. They both served in the leadership of Ichthus New Life in Greenwich before coming to Southcroft. We both love sharing the good news of Jesus and encouraging people to start the adventure of following Jesus.

Ichthus Southcroft is a vibrant, church with people from all nations, backgrounds and ages worshipping Jesus. We are a congregation of Ichthus Christian Fellowship - there are ten congregations which make up one London church, but Ichthus has links all over the UK and the world! Find out more about Ichthus here.

Southcroft's heart and motto is: Loving Jesus, Loving People.

We know that God is love and He first loved us. As followers of Jesus we aim to keep the first and greatest commandment which is to love God with all our heart, mind and strength and love our neighbour as ourselves. We express our heart to love our community in a number of ways through our community projects.

Children and Youth

We warmly welcome families to worship with us. On Sundays We have 3 age groups for children and young people. We have a creche for the Babies to aged 4, next we have childrens work for primary ages 5-10's and youth group for those aged 11-16 with age appropriate games, activities, worship and Bible stories.

Evangelism and Outreach

As a church we want to be active in sharing the good news of Jesus and serving our community. We love sharing the Gospel. We want to get the church out of the four walls and out on the streets. We love to be creative from worship on the streets to car washing, from running community days and blessing businesses to open air services. We also run ‘The Alpha Course’, which is a great way to explore life's big questions through a series of engaging videos and discussion. Each week there’s a coffee and cake, a short video and discussion in small groups. All are welcome. During the week we run a few regular projects which you can read about on our ‘community projects' page.

Midweek Meetings

At Southcroft, we really believe in home groups as a means of Christian growth and support. They are a great place to gather midweek in smaller groups to pray, study the Bible, grow in gifts and get to know one another better.  If you are interested in joining in with these midweek meetings, please speak to Phil or Hayley.

Fellowship and Eating together

We love to  enjoy a shared lunch together after church on a regular basis. Everyone brings something to share – but don’t worry there is always lots of food so you are welcome to join in, even if you didn’t bring anything!
